Committees

Members can volunteer for any of the listed committees except the Executive Committee, which is composed of the officers of the corporation.

Executive Committee

Exercises close supervision of the Chamber. Oversees the integration of Internal Management Controls into the standard business process to assure the achievement of expected goals and within a projected budget. Develops plans to increase fund raising, and oversees the day-to-day operation of the organization.

Programs Committee

Overall responsibility for the programs at the Technology & Resource Center.  Oversees all major events such as the Adelante Awards, the annual golf tournament, and the Hispanic Speakers Series.  Dedicated to working with member organizations to develop new programs to meet their needs.

Business Development Committee

Reviews and updates the corporate business plan.  Works to seek out business opportunities for Chamber members and collaborate with the members to implement any ideas they might have for business opportunities.

Legislative Affairs Committee

Responsible for interfacing with city, county, and state elected officials and their offices to promote laws and policies that allow businesses to have a level playing field from which to start and grow.  The committee is strictly non-partisan, and it works with the sitting governor of Missouri to appoint qualified Hispanics to state boards and commissions.

Membership Committee

Is tasked with seeking out new members and with existing member retention.

Diplomats Committee

The main liaison between the membership and the board of directors.  The committee tries to answer member questions and address any concerns regarding their involvement with the Chamber.

Public Relations Committee

Enhances the visibility of the Chamber and its members through the effective use of traditional and social media, the newsletter, and the Web site.

Recruitment Committee

Enhances workforce development by connecting Hispanic workers with available job opportunities in the St. Louis metro area.

Capital Campaign Committee

Responsible for obtaining the necessary financial support to complete the purchase of the space which houses the Technology & Resource Center.
