Chamber in Community Action: Uplifting and Supporting St. Louis, One Act at a Time
On Sunday, June 18, the ERG’s (Employee Resource Groups), Affinity groups, and Jóvenes Profesionales (Young Professionals) came together to clean up around the Arch at the Riverfront. Members such as Bayer, Associated Bank, Boeing, Viviant Health, HRC Consultants, and others were present. We are grateful for partnering up with our member, Great Rivers Greenway, as we collected at least one hundred ten pounds of trash. As we cleaned up around the arch, we were reminded of how important it is to pour back into the city. St. Louis is home to many of our members, and the business community that we have developed over the past forty years.
The chamber has been finding ways to contribute and uplift those affected by the tornado that passed through St. Louis on Friday, May 16. Our biggest efforts yet took place during our May Business After Hours hosted by the APA Adoption Center. This one was intentional beyond networking and making connections , it was about collaboration for a greater cause. Collaboratively, we filled two large bins of human and pet items, and thanks to LiUNA Local 110 we surpassed our goal as they pulled up with a truck-load of items!
We want to express a heartfelt appreciation for the support and dedication that our members have shown as we help the community. Our motto is “Leading Businesses. Strengthening Communities.”- and we are beyond proud of our HCC community for strengthening St. Louis.
